Emmaus is a quaint little town in the Lehigh Valley. If you've ever had the pleasure of driving through town you will see the triangle down town is the epidemy of a "Hallmark" movie set. Plenty of shops to browse and some eateries are located in and around the triangle. Up the street stands and old fashioned movie theatre beside the railroad tracks. Emmaus is a lovely small town with a popular tipping just under 12,000 residents.
You will find in this town restaurants that range from diners, brick over pizza places, and even a new mobster style 1920's prohibition style restaurant. Let's take a tour of where to grab a bite and maybe even a beer or glass of wine while visiting our town.
Cap n Co
This little gem just opened their doors in 2022. Their theme is along the lines of Mobsters and prohibition style. Their food is delicious and they even have a "beer wall". Visit them today for a bite and a brew. If you're from the area you might think, "Isn't that the old Italiano Delite?", you'd be correct. The restaurant has not changed hands, but instead the owner Mr. Mannino woke up one morning and decided to do an incredible overhaul of his restaurant, and viola we now have Cap n Co. https://caponco.net/
2. Sawdee Thai House
Located right on the corner of Main St and 3rd st in down town this is a lovely place to eat a meal. They make authentic Thai dishes and the food is delicious, I can attest to this I've eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed. After you enjoy a meal here you will want to skip accross the street for a beer or mark down our #3 restaurant as another place to try in downtown Emmaus. http://www.swadeethaihouse.com/
3. Armetta's Italian Restaurant and Pub
Armetta's has a large menu with plenty of options for everyone in your party coming along even the kiddos. They offer a full bar as well so if you're in the mood for a drink with dinner Armetta's can certainly be for you. They have been serving the Lehigh Valley delicious food since 1980 and you just cannot go wrong with a pizza from here or a steak sandwich. http://www.armettaspizzarestpub.com/
4. Superior Diner
This diner has gone through a few upgrades over the years but still maintains the diner old style feel on the left side. While on the right is a full bar and large room which can be utilized for parties and not just dining out. In true diner fashion, which we have plenty of diners here in the Lehigh Valley, you are able to order breakfast at any time of day. https://superiorrestaurantpa.com/
5. House and Barn
If you're in the mood for a burger this seems like the place to go. Their website even states loud and clear, "Home of the Famous Burgery Burgers." I have driven past this restuarant and have said under my breath to myself as I see them, "I really have to get there." After writing this I am starting to think I will head over there in the next week. The atmosphere of House and Barn looks divine. Part of the allure is who one of the previous owners was, which was General Trexler. He is well known in our are here for what he did for our beautiful Lehigh Valley. This restuarant used to be a working farm owned by him at one time. If you're looking for an event space their barn is an event space. Call them today if you're looking and check them out. https://www.houseandbarn.net/
